This page explains what happens to the details you give Ambient Electrical through this website. Ambient Electrical is Peter Stafford, a licensed electrician based in Bronte NSW.

What the enquiry form collects

Your name, phone number and email address, and, if you fill them in, your suburb, what the job is about and anything else you write in the message box. The form has one hidden field that catches spam robots; it holds nothing about you.

Where your enquiry goes

Each enquiry is sent two ways, so a fault with one service does not lose it. Netlify Forms, part of Netlify, the company that hosts this website, stores the enquiry and emails it to Peter at ambientelectrical@hotmail.com. FormSubmit (formsubmit.co, run by Devro LABS) emails Peter a second copy; it says it keeps submissions for up to 30 days. With JavaScript switched off, the form goes to Netlify only. Nobody else receives your enquiry.

If your connection drops while you are sending, the page keeps the unsent enquiry in your own browser's storage on your device and sends it when the connection comes back. It is removed from your device once it has been sent.

What it is used for

Only to reply to your enquiry and to quote for the work.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your details

Email ambientelectrical@hotmail.com or call 0415 684 120 and ask. Peter can tell you what he holds, correct it, or delete your enquiry.

Sparky, the website assistant

Sparky is an automated assistant. What you type into it is sent to this website's server and to Anthropic's Claude model, through Netlify, to write the answer. The server records only the size of each request, not your words. To stop misuse it counts questions per hour against a shortened one-way code made from your internet address, not the address itself. Please do not type personal details into Sparky; use the form or call instead.

Videos, cookies and tracking

The customer videos on the reviews page come from YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. This website has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies. Like any web host, Netlify processes your internet address to deliver the pages.
